Is this correct? I was expecting it to display 1.6.6.
-
Same here but it seems to be working as it should, the "Vintage" setting is at least.
-
Mine too. Seems to be working otherwise.

There is a post in the 1.6.3 thread that indicated that 6.0.2 is Sequential’s alpha testing number. Otherwise all is good ... well, unless you forgot what firmware you’re running. :)

Hello,
Do you think they will release a final firmware version soon ? The 1.6.2 was a beta, then there were at least two 1.6.3 beta versions (the one that fixes the bug of the crazy arpeggiator encoder of some units [my unit had the issue], and the one of the new Vintage / MPE features), and now still a beta "or rather alpha" 1.6.6 / 6.0.2 ?
Thank you

Since I got my P6, every firmware update has been beta. I’m at the point where I believe that their ‘beta’ is our final version. As long as everything works, I don’t care what they call it.

Thank you for your reply.
Actually, the "last" official version is 1.5.9 : Latest Prophet-6 OS — v1.5.9 (https://www.sequential.com/updating-the-prophet-6-os)
I hope they will release a version that displays the correct version number when the P6 starts. It will be more serious (IMHO).

Alpha testing has historically meant internal testing before releasing to the user for beta testing. So unless we work for Sequential, we should not be seeing 6.0.2 if the real number is 1.6.6 :) But for what it's worth, mine shows 6.0.2 after the update.. not particularly confidence inspiring.

Can someone help?
I can't find the link to the Vintage 1.6.6 update.
My searches take me through to the sequential forum where the 1.6.6 post is but the hyperlink then takes me to the official official 1.5.9.
Can someone post a link to the Beta version please?
Thanks
Sean

It’s there at the bottom of the first message in the announcement.
