Title: Linking up with Modular Gear ?
Post by: Horace on May 16, 2016, 07:54:35 AM
Hi All,

They say the first post is potentially the stupidest.
But has anyone tried connecting the OB to any voltage
controlled modules ?
Apart from splitting and processing the Audio Outputs,
is there any feasible way of Input modulation ? Like with
a Midi Breakout Box, or CV to Midi Interface ? Or even connecting
something to the expression pedal inputs.
It would be nice to maybe apply another LFO to the oscillators/
Filter etc etc .

Cheers  :)

I haven't looked this far ahead yet, but certainly a valid question.  The lack of the second LFO (actually there is two if you use osc#2 as LFO), I have not found limiting thus far.    Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to turn on my OB6 for two weeks now :(   But I'm curious to try any options I can think of next time I do.

Hi,

I think the x-mod section makes up for it.
The good thing is most of the parameters are MIDI mapped,
so possible a CV to midi convertor could do something.
But I'm now not really fussed.
There are plenty of outboard effects that interface well with eurorack
stuff.

I was thinking of putting an attenuated control voltage through the
the expression inputs, but no thanks  :-X

Cheers
