Title: Pro 3 Tutorial/Demo - Arpeggiator with Paraphonic Mode and Mod Sequencer
Post by: creativespiral on January 04, 2021, 11:55:29 AM
I've been really enjoying the Pro 3!   Such a versatile and great sounding synth.

Here's a tutorial/demo using the Arpeggiator with Paraphonic Mode (ala Korg MonoPoly) along with the Mod Sequencer - to build complex arps that have lots of interesting melodic motion.  I've designed dozens of complex arps and paraphonic motion patches over the past few months... have got almost a full bank of new patches.   I thought documenting this type of patch design might be inspiring to others to experiment with:

Also, here's a thread that has a quick reference table of modulation values for Osc Frequency from Sequencer:

Very nice. This inspired me to play around with para mode in conjunction with the arp, which I’d been meaning to do.

A similar trick to what you show at the end is to bring up the delay level in the sequencer on specific steps, for example just in the 3rd step. It creates little bursts of rhythm variations like 16th notes or triplets for rhythmic variations.

Cool.  Yeah, that's a good idea to modulate Delay Mix hard on/off per step to create rhythmic / ratchet type repeats at specific steps.   Gonna play with that tonight ;)
