No idea if it's simple or complex or even possible but it'd be cool if you could limit the range of notes that trigger the arpeggiator so you could, for example, hold a chord in the left hand, which will cycle through the arpeggio pattern, but play a lead line in your right hand without those notes being added to the arpeggio

Perhaps by using a gate function applied to the sustain pedal - any notes held down prior to the pedal being pressed will trigger the sequencer, any notes played after the pedal is pressed will play as normal.
