Title: record Beat-wide Parameters
Post by: huupsel on October 04, 2020, 07:29:53 AM
Hi Folks!

in the manual on page 47, this is written:

Beat FX slider movements are for live performance only and cannot be recorded.
However, Note FX (described in the following section) does permit recording
of slider movements, and Note FX sliders may be assigned to Beat-wide sound
parameters.

I'v been reading this many times, still don't understand what this means.

How can I assign a note FX slider to a beat-wide parameter?

thanks a lot!

If you are in 16 Beats or 16 Mutes, the FX Sliders are in the not recordable performance mode and have impact on all sounds at the same time.
In 16 Sounds, the sliders can be recorded and only have effect to the one chosen sound/pad. You can have different fx for every pad and record all of them. So 4 for every sound.
To assign the fx,  press shift and playback in the fx section = assign in 16 beats or 16 sounds mode.

Bahm, thank you for your response!

I understand how the sliders work and how I can assign them.
I also know I can only record note fx.

Fact is, I simply can't understand this sentence:
"Note FX sliders may be assigned to Beat-wide sound
parameters" (p.47 in manual)

Because euh... I think note fx cannot be assigned to Beat-wide sound parameters.

Or am I reading this from a wrong point of view?

thanks!

Now i understand what you mean. I believe it is just an error in the manual, i don't think there is a way to assign a beat wide fx to a single sounds fx or vice versa.
