Title: Tetra 2 Pole Resonance
Post by: nashsnazzy on October 03, 2020, 06:05:40 AM
Hey Gang, first post here. Over the years as I've dabbled in synthesis I've owned an Evolver, and a Mopho KB, and now I'm once again a proud owner of a Dave Smith instrument as I picked up a very clean looking Tetra. I'm pairing this with a Digitone / Digitakt and it seems to be just the ticket for a small desktop synth module to pair with an Elektron sequencer.

My question is one of ignorance, I haven't owned my Mopho in a long time and I've forgotten how the 2 pole mode of the VCF should sound. It seems that my Tetra has a very minimal amount of resonance peaking in 2 pole mode. I didn't expect it to self oscillate but it doesn't seem to do much at all. The filter cutoff works as expected. I'm running 1.2 firmware, is this a bug or does the 2 pole filter not offer any tangible resonance?

Thanks!
