Title: NRPN bug in FX
Post by: Channelizer on July 09, 2020, 09:06:01 AM
I think there's a bug in the OB6 and P6 that result in the FX mix levels being turned down to zero under some circumstances.  It's a bit of an unlikely scenario but I thought I'd share it in case some of you are puzzling over the NRPN behaviour...

Connect OB6 midi out to OB6 midi in.  Turn synth to Local OFF and Param transmit and receive both to 'nr' (NRPN).
Set up a sound with obvious FX.  Turn FX off.  Turn filter env attack down to zero (or any parameter that transmits NRPNs which is basically anything) .  Turn FX back on.  FX depth is now zero!

It appears that turning FX off leaves the synth in a state where ANY incoming NRPN will set the FX mix levels (both) to zero.  Not sure if it has to be exactly zero.

Weird...
