Are these defined by how many notes you input in Lane one , or individual ?
Also

Default is based on the note steps but you can have a note sequence track of 9 steps and a filter sequence track of 14 and change those after recording. You can also change the number of steps while the sequencer is running as a performance tool.

To change the length of a track after recording, press 'reset' while holding down the step button of whichever step you want to be the final one for that track. The letter R will appear in the next step along.

Track one is considered a soft master length. If you change the length of track 1 and all other tracks are the same length, it changes all of them to the same length. If even one of the tracks is a different length, we assume you wanted to do different lengths and only track 1 reset point is changed
And as others mentioned, hold a step button and hit reset to change the reset point of the track you have selected

does that only work on notes , because I cannot get the filter to do that.
Oh wait you have to put in a note as well otherwise it does nothing, I see.
