Title: voice pan
Post by: Rico on April 07, 2020, 06:51:07 AM
Got myself a prophet 08 pe desktop. Is it normal for voice 1 to be panned slightly to the right, even though I turn down pan spread to zero?

No, that's not normal, with the possible exception of a patch with an unusual pan result.  Before anything else, it's always prudent to do a recalibration of the oscillators and filters.  Hold the GLOBAL button and at the same time press the LFO 2 button.  The recalibration will take about five minutes.  Then restart the instrument and see if it fixed the problem.

The support has told me it's within normal tolerances to have some deviation between the voices, of up to 3db. My voice was 2.5db louder on the right channel, so within normal...

Think of it as a unique stereo capability, I guess.   :)

+1 for this issue. Is this something the Rev does as well?
