Title: OB-6 program change from Ableton Live 10
Post by: futuresound on March 17, 2020, 09:55:03 PM
Hi, my OB-6 isn't responding to program change messages from Ableton Live 10. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but I've tried all the relevant settings in both the synth and Ableton.

Any help please?

How are you sending the program change? I'm able to do this by setting the "Sub" and "Pgm" values under "Pgm Change" in a MIDI clip. The value you enter in the clip is one higher than the bank/patch, so if you want patch 25, you need to enter 26.

Examples:

To select patch 025: Sub 1, Pgm 26
To select patch 270: Sub 3, Pgm 71

When you play the clip with these settings, it should change to the bank/patch you selected.

I don't think there are any relevant settings on the OB-6. There's no way to tell it to ignore program change messages.
