Title: VS-1 Polyphonic Analog Synthesizer
Post by: Paul Dither on January 16, 2020, 06:37:25 AM
Similar to what Black Corporation did with Deckard's Dream, Xerxes, and Kijimi, Abstrakt Instruments are planning to create a rackmount version of the OB-X, apparently with Tom Oberheim's blessing:

Wish Tom was involved more.

Wish Tom was involved more.

Nevertheless a nice gesture to offer him a royalty per unit. Sounds very nice in the demo, though. And they made the highpass and bandpass modes selectable (they were available on the boards of the original as well, just not accessible from the front panel).

The key component in an offering like this is the notion of MIDI sysex / NRPN support via an external editor (hardware or software).
