Title: 8Dio Add-On Looping
Post by: zoso335 on December 07, 2019, 09:54:13 PM
I got all the synth add-ons from 8dio and I love the sounds so far but I noticed for looping, at least for the raw oscillators I've tried in a few of the different add-ons, when they loop there's always a digital click when it starts over which is around every 5 seconds. This makes any sustained synth sounds often useless and it's really frustrating. Is there anyway to fix this or make it manageable?

Hello,
You should check the sample "cross-fade"in the same menu.
With the new update, it has more efficacity.

What I discovered was that the "edit sample" box was checked and when I unchecked it the looping became perfect. Not sure what it did but works now.

Edit Sample indicates that the sample's default loop points are being overridden in the preset.  Typically, a sample's default loop is carefully adjusted at a sample-accurate level to provide a nice smooth loop.  When overriding the loop start / end in the Prophet X, on the other hand, you get much less precision and should normally enable crossfading to mitigate the effects of the noticeable discontinuity that will almost surely emerge.
