The Vermona Perfourmer Mk II has impressed me for a couple of years, but I've never played one. There are precious few YouTube videos of it, and they're of rather poor audio quality. Nor have I found even one in which the instrument is extensively played from a keyboard.
A simple question: Does the instrument have a high-quality analog tone? Used in unison, can it produce a sawtooth lead type patch that could stand up to a Moog? Rich, warm, fat, and all that stuff?

I only played one in the summer of 2014. It sounded good to me. I would descibe the Vermona sound as being a tad softer than the Moog one, but other than that it definitely sounds warm and creamy.

If the Vermona were controlled by a Poly Evolver Keyboard, would it produce a five-oscillator four-voice instrument? Fuseball, don't you have both of these? Have you ever Midi-ed them together?

Not me, sir. I only have a MEK. Always been curious about the Perfourmer but never actually seen or played one.
I'm guessing that if you connected them together via midi you would get a 4 voice, 5 oscillator instrument (depending on the Perfourmer's voice mode).

Yes, I'm sure you can send midi to each of the 4 Vermona MKII oscillators independently or as any combinations of the 4. I'll mess with this when I get a chance to provide more detail. The whole sequence melody is the Vermona MK2. So is the "noise bursts" @ 3:50 to end. I love the warmth of the instrument and it's built like a tank too. Great for classic lead w.glide sounds, pads, and weird fm stuff too.

Sorry, Fuseball. It was Soundquest I meant.

Regarding your question Sacred Synthesis. The Vermona MK2 has a very useful selector switch that allows several types of midi channel configurations when you play. For example: paraphonic 4-note chasing, two channel pairs and monophonic. This allows it to be used in more than one way by the PEK.
1. Polychain the PEK so that five voices are set. You can use all four MK2 oscillators playing at once as a fifth voice.
2. Polychain the PEK so that 8 voices are set. You can use pairs of the MK2 oscillators to effectively have six voices.
3. Polychain the PEK with 8 voices set. Then use each of the MK2's oscillators individually as voices 5,6,7,8.
Also quite fun is running the PEK's sequencer to the MK2. You an easily set up 4 tracks to the 4 oscillators individually, or as pairs, using the sequencer set to "midi notes".

Thanks, Soundquest. It sounds like the two instruments would require some experimentation.

My favorite demo of the instrument. I often just let the video play and relax to the music.
