I just updated the prophet 6 to the latest firmware.
Operation did seem to work with no problem but the synth did not reboot after the second countdown.
It stucked on 1 1 display.
I kept it like this but after some time I rebooted it.
The synth did report 1.2.9 firmware and it seems to work like it should, with the new added features.
Just wondering if the update did work for sure because it didn't reboot on its own or should I do it again ?

Same thing happened here. Appears to be working just fine after a manual reboot.
Would be good to get an official "Yeah, it's OK" response though. :)
-
Same here - stuck on 1 - 1 display after the countdown. No reboot.
After waiting some and then reading the messages here I dared a manual reboot.
Mine does report 1.2.8 firmware (not 1.2.9 as Ohmstudiste reports?)
-
Same thing on mine. And yes, it should say "1.2.8" after the update. (Maybe a typo?)
-
1.2.8 on my display at bootup too.
-
yes sorry guys, I did mean "1.2.8" of course.
-
Same thing happened to me this morning. I waited about 5 minutes just to make sure something wasn't still writing, then manually rebooted. Seems successful. I have the new features.
-
Same here. But... Everything's ok after switching off and on. Puh... A bricked P6 isn't something i ever want.
-
Another report, same. Stuck on "1" after loading.
Manual reboot, reports 1.2.8, all is fine, all new features and effects are great!!

The same here, but everything's ok!

Finally, it's not good at all, the synth acts really weird now :(

What's happening?

Finally, it's not good at all, the synth acts really weird now :(
What is it doing?
No problems so far here and I've been using it most of today.
-
After many tests, it appears that my Motu Micro Express is the problem :(
And thanks to the very reactive DSI support!
-
update works perfect here.... Used sysEx Librarian / USB
Thank you DSI!!

Maybe it's speed setting that needs slightly reducing to get last 1.... Mine is working fine update wise but it would be great to hear official word if it needs re installing. Did any of you guys message support yet before I do? I need to message em anyway so I can jus add this in.

Mine hung on the final '1' of the second countdown I waited a couple of minutes and cycled the P6 power. It seems to be OK, it's shows 1.2.8 and everything is stable after a re calibrate and globals reset. I gave up with MidiOx on WinXp Sp3 via USB or MidiSport 2x2 or Lexicon Omega (Midi Din)! I never got closer than 11 in the first count down. So I used my iPad2 with Midi Tool Box App and a Behringer i202 doc connected via Midi Din.

Hi guys!
1.28 works fine with my unit. It rebooted itself with no problems. :)
-
Mine stucked on 1, too. After near heart attack and manual reboot it seems to work fine.
I don't care for the added FX. I only use the digital delay anyway. Please don't add anymore, it's already crowded there.
But the update is still a big improvement:
I can tweak the synth in Local Off mode without everything going bananas! No more flickering FX displays, and the LEDs seem to reflect their actual status. Thanks!

My update work fine- done with SysEx Librarian via USB!
Thanks DSI - go on!
-
Mine got stuck at count "1", but seems fine after a power on/off
Mac with SysEx Librarian.
-
The Same here--seems to be the normal behavior !!!
OS 1.2.8 at manual restart
Thn'x to the DSI Team !

Using MIDIox, my P6keys froze on the 1. When rebooted, it seemed fine. I then enlarged the buffers on MIDIox before updating my P6 rack, and that instrument rebooted on its own.
Not scientific evidence, but maybe helpful.

Same problem here. Get stucked at 1; wait for a couple of minutes and then turn Off and On. Works perfect. Anyway, then I tried changing to a slower transmition speed and it reboots automatically (but takes much more time on doing the transmition, obviously). Thanks for the post!
