On programs such as X-Short Stg Wub (U/F 4, P79), how can one turn off the MIDI clock, so that the rhythmic pattern stops, and the player/composer can play the sound at their own rhythm? Seems like this should be simple... but it's not. I've tried slowing BPM down, and every parameter of Global>MIDI Clock Mode, with no success.

With F4P79 (X-Short Str Wub), some things to consider:
- Inst1 & Inst2 Loop disable/enable; in this path, both Inst1/Inst2 are set to loop the samples.
- LFO2 — take a look at the LFO Destination (Cutoff) and Sync Freq; that's having an effect on the oscillators.
Also, it can be helpful to adjust the Inst/Osc levels in the Mixer as you experiment with settings. The Clock BPM should adjust the tempo of the loop and LFOs, also.
Hope that helps some.

Also, notice that the Inst1/2 sample loops are set to Sync mode with the loop size/center modified. Play with that, too.

jk, although I was slow to try your suggestions and reply, you nailed it! Thank you! I was misdirected by the MIDI clock, when the instrument loops/LFO were the key. ;)
