Title: Play some PinkFloyd sounds
Post by: cedico on February 29, 2016, 12:47:46 AM
Hi,

I would like to buy a true analogic synth, to complete my first synth.
I'm hesitating between a P6 and sub27.
While I know these 2 synths are quite differents, I think I would prefer in first choice, to buy a P6 for the polyphony aspect, but I would like to think the P6 car play some good monophony sounds, and obtain maybe sounds a little like the sub37 ?  ::)

Please could you tell me if a P6 could approach these king of Pink floyd sounds ?

If you have some videos where i can listen this kind of sounds played with the P6, it would be great.  :)

Regards
Cédric

I managed to get the Shine On sound out of the Prophet-6:

The Welcome To The Machine lead works great on the Sub 37. Not sure about the Prophet-6, though, since it involves lots of Moog filter charactertistics. I can try at some point this week though.

Thanks Paul. Yes, it is rather resembling... :)
I did not think such a To the machine, would be more difficult to get ::). I did not know the Moog, but yes, I often read about its special characteristics sound...
