The CP70 Electric Grand Piano is our second official add-on for the Sequential Prophet X and XL analog hardware synthesizers.

The famous Yamaha CP-70 is no stranger to extreme sampling. We sampled this legendary Electric Grand Piano in such detail that it will never need to be sampled again. The Electric Grand Piano is similar to a normal piano, except that the vibration of the strings is converted by electric pickups, similar to that of an Electric Guitar.

The CP-70 Add-On contains both standard Sustains, as well as Short (Staccato), notes with multiple Repetitions (Round Robin). All Sustain samples were recorded with both Pedal Up and Pedal Down positions to allow for true sympathetic resonance.

The CP-70 was recorded with a 100% analog Neve Pre-Amp Signal Flow and further enhanced with a physical hardware chain, including Manley Vari-Mu Compressor, Original Urei 1176 (Pre-Universal Audio), Original DBX 160 and Neve 33609 Compressor.

This add-on will soon be followed up by several other exclusive Prophet X and XL add-ons, including the Prophet T8, Arp 2600, OBX and over a dozen others.

Awesome! Any chance we might see some samples from the Prophet 2000 or Emulator?

Also any chance we might see some more CAGE and CASE samples from 8Dios library?

Yeah I want those OrchHit and Sarrarr samples from the Fairlight and Synclavier FM gong! Oh man!

Great to have another pack, but what happened to the Grand Piano samples?  Originally this pack was advertised as having the CP and a Grand !

I always thought the CP-70 sounded horrible and was only ever used because it was portable. Go figure.

yes, portable. hence the road case.
