Title: Is there any significance to the "Rev 1" printed on the circuit board?
Post by: chapterhaus on March 29, 2018, 06:50:43 PM
I noticed this yesterday as I opened my X4 up for a spring cleaning session. The circuit board has "REV 1" printed on it, and as there is a DSI REV2, I'm wondering if there's any meaning here? What does the REV even stand for?

"REV" means "revision," and it's not uncommon for PCBs to indicate a revision, or version, number to differentiate it from other boards for support or repair purposes. For example, different revisions might require different parts, different software, etc.
