Title: Can driving the Synth hard wear it out?
Post by: John01W on September 27, 2017, 02:27:59 AM
I run some patches with high resonance and high levels of all the oscillators in unison in the mixer section....I don't hear obvious distortion on the OB6 in that situation as it seems to have lots of headroom, but in the case of the OB6 can running it hard like that damage the synth over time in any way?  I know these synths are made where you can drive them, but just want to be sure.

Thanks

There's nothing you can do to your OB-6 in terms of patch configuration that will stress the circuits in any way. Fear not!

Thanks, love the OB6 very, very much and want to take care of it.  They did a great job on it, very inspiring.  I hopeful there's more to come as far as enhancements go to push this beautiful instrument to it's full potential....
