Title: 164 Steps?
Post by: martinlroberts on September 07, 2017, 10:26:51 AM
Hi all,

Forgive me if this is a silly question, or one thats been asked before. I've just got hold of my new Rev2 - my first DSI synth. I'm in the middle of programming for a tour, and I'm alternating between using the onboard sounds, and using some plugins via Ableton. I've just programmed a sound in Omnisphere 2, and mapped the cutoff knob on the Rev2 to the cutoff on Omnisphere. All works fine, but I notice that the Rev2 has 164 steps on its filter rather than the standard 127. The problem here is that as I go past 127 on the cutoff, Omnisphere's cutoff resets to 0.

It's something I can deal with, but I'm intrigued why the Rev2 cutoff has 164 steps, and if there's a way to change it?

Any help or insight would be much appreciated.

Martin

Go to Globals menu and select parameter 6 (MIDI parameter send) and change value from NRPN to CC.
Do the same for MIDI parameter receive too (no.u in globals list) and hopefully that should sort it. 🙂
