Why can't we add rests at the end of a sequence? That limits a lot of musical ideas, euclidean rhythms, polyrhythms etc
While working on my iOS P12 app, I noticed that the sysex dump has a slot/data for the current sequence length. Could you let us add rests in ANYWHERE and add a SEQUENCE LENGTH parameter for the empty 4th Soft Knob? Makes SO much sense and seems like a fairly simple thing to fix...this would also let you play the sequencer live by changing the length as well.
The current P12 Sequencer forces you to begin and end every musical phrase with a note o_O
Thoughts?

I would love to see this feature added to the P12.
@ DSI... is this possible?
Thanks,

I ran across this when I was doing my arrangement of Vivaldi's Four Seasons. I had some super fast 32nd note runs I could only pull off using the arpeggiator. When the 32nd note was a rest, I got around it by breaking the run up into 2 sequences less than 32 notes, but it would have been much easier to be able to assign a rest to the final note of the sequence. Even if this feature can't be implemented, I'd be very curious to find out why :-)

Just got my Prophet 12 and am wondering about this as well. Seems odd that you cannot end a programmed Arp with a rest.

Add me to the list.

For what it's worth, the workaround is to create a note on the last step and to drop the velocity to zero. But, this means you have to have velocity -> volume set. But, still not great as doing this with unison on makes the last step of the arp cut short

Also interested in this.
It seems so easy to implement.
