Title: State of the Beast
Post by: Stoss on May 27, 2017, 07:45:24 AM
So... I'm seeing a lot of "two steps forward / one step back" stuff going on here. Dropped voices. Inability to load some projects. It sure seems like some of the latest "improvements" are causing more harm than good.

Can some noble soldier of the new army of beta testers give a summary of where everything is at?

I don't have the time or stomach to read new variations on such an old theme.

If Carson wanted to chime in here that would be great! I'd love some sense of DSI's plan.

DSI... and by that I mean... Carson.

What is the situation with the Tempest over at Dave Smith Instruments? I'm seeing a good amount of activity but I don't really have a good grasp of intent. Does DSI want to really shape this thing up and clean up all the little outstanding issues, or is DSI just trying to get something that passes by the current set of actively involved users that are testing the betas on this forum and reporting problems?

I'm sure I am not alone as I ask for a glimpse of where this is all headed. I have diligently reported bugs in the past and have a hard time committing to that effort if my work will be dismissed.

Thanks for your time and effort.
