On my P12m the "Assign mod source" does not work as expected.
The "Assign mod destination" button works perfectly.
If I start a new patch. Hold "Assign mod source" and press LFO 1 button, it assigns LFO 1 as mod 1 source, perfect. Now if I go to the next row, hold again "Assign mod source" and press LFO 1 (or whatever) it does not select the source.
Long story shot. Shortcut "Assing mod source" + "Source" works only once. Anyone else too? Or just me.

Yup, it's the same here,
my workaround is, if you then press mod source and another lfo, for example, you only have to navigate one or 2 sources up/down to select it.
Same for destinations that are not on the module front panel, click on the relevant section/item button, and you're already a lot closer.
Sometimes it selects a slot where the source is already in use, that's a bit annoying if you're not paying attention
