Title: Question about P~6 lowpass filter
Post by: Jonas Sjöström on November 18, 2015, 09:15:35 AM
Hi  :)

I have a question regarding the lowpass filter on the amazing prophet~6, does it have the boost function on it like you can do on the Pro-2 but fixed? I.e. so it doesn't loose volume when setting resonance high? If so is it possible to disable it, like is there a jumper setting to switch between "boost" and "non boost"?

/Jonas

To my knowledge, the boost option is exclusive to the Pro 2's low-pass filter.

Hi Paul, True except for the curtis eurorack filter which has the boost switch. But on the pro-2 you can manually set the amount. And I thought maybe the have put a fixed boost on the P~6? :)

True, I forgot about the module. But I haven't read anything about a boost option in the Prophet-6 manual, so I would assume it's not there.

You might be right :) just that I got the impression when adding alot of resonance the filter it behaves like if the boost function is applied but I haven't found any info about it either but thought I'd ask at least :) thanks for your replies!!

No problem. - I guess only the Sequential team can tell what's going on "behind the scenes."
