Title: Can Remote Pad sequencing and Synth Mode sequencing be used at the same time?

So that I could have a beat being externally sequenced via the Remote Pad channel and simultaneously have a bassline being sequenced via the Synth channel?

Yes. They are on two different MIDI channels.
