Title: Need a guide on creating/formatting sysex tuning files for REV2
Post by: AvailableLight on January 15, 2021, 08:41:54 PM
I got the REV2 specifically for playing alternate/custom tunings.
I have learned how to create .tun files (H-pi's Universal Tuning Editor) and convert them to sysex. I can even use Sysex Librarian to send and receive data to/from the REV2. But, that's where I hit a wall. I cannot seem to locate specific info on how to properly format my sysex tuning data for uploading the custom tuning files that I create. I certainly don't want to try anything before understanding these important points.

Searched the forum for a while without effect. Any guidance appreciated.
Thanks

Also, considering it as a corporate name for my new enterprise here in Japan (corp umbrella is already established as 'Starman Technologies'), which is directly related to my work on these synth tuning systems.
Yeah. I know! Blah...blah...blah. :D

The link you spotted was very helpful. I didn't think to look in the other Prophet sections on the forum. But, it seems that the methods for alternate tunings remain the same. I think it led me to exactly where I needed to be.
Cheers!
