Title: Question regarding resonance

Hi community. Since I am new to Synthesis I want to ask a question about resonance. Is it normal when rising the resonance that the sound gets thinner and losing low end?

Yes, this is pretty common. Some synths more than others. Moog's famous ladder filter does this to the extreme. I haven't noticed it being a problem with my OB-6 though. Cranking the res with a HP filter when the cutoff is set to a lower setting can really bring the lows to the front though. Also works with a BP filter. The resonance emphasizes whatever frequency the cutoff is set to.
