Very nice! That is very beautiful work. I’m guessing you sell these? I would be interested in a set for a Prophet 6.
-
I'd be interested in black walnut or teak for my Tempest

Very impressive!

What type of pro-3 do you have? I recently got the one with the wooden case, and I made a set for it, it looks really good! PM me if you’re interested!
Thanks again for the kind response

Isn’t it something? Have you ever used the external input to use its filter on other synths?

Hey Nick! Remember me? I bought a couple of your panels a few months back. Just wanted to share some of my photos of the panels on the synths. They make my synths look much more mature. I'm especially glad for the replacement ones for my Neutron. The originals are too easy to ding. I'll have to get some matching ones for the other modules I own.

Hey Josh!!! How’s it going man?? That makes me very happy that you like the panels. They look great on your synths.
Did you end up picking up that behringer wasp? Send me a PM or email if you’re looking for more panels
Cheers!

I actually picked up a K2! But I’m glad these panels are universal. Sent you a PM talk soon?

I ordered a set of the end panels from @SynthWolf for my Prophet 6. They arrived yesterday and are really wonderful. Quite beautiful and so smooth to the touch. 10/10!

Nice!
They look awesome on your tempest. I really like those knobs on your unit too.

Really good work Nick, are you sponsored by Festool? You should be;-) I've got much of the same gear but currently still using it to put my house together although I've got plans to refresh some of the wood on my fleet when I' done!
That band saw looks really nice! What is it?

Thanks! And I should be sponsored by Festool shouldnt I? Haha, I wish!! That would be a dream come true. I’d end up building igloos out of their systaners and living in it.
In the last year or so I’ve accumulated a decent bunch of festool tools. And I really do love their stuff. I mean, we can get away with almost any tool, but their tools just work so well, so industrious, such wonderful cuts, ergonomics and design make for top tier tool.
It blew me away the first time I took a 3” slab and put the track saw on it and got a finished jointed side ready cut. Yup, It was like going down a rabbit hole after that.
Which tools did you get from them? I’m currently eyeballing the domino and kapex series.
P.s bandsaw is the laguna series , model is 14bx with a 12” resaw capacity.

Can anyone guess which synth belongs to this panel? It might be a bit tricky, but i'll give you a hint, the original panel is about 1/4" thick and made out of metal and is not from sequential.

Nice! Got it on the first try. It’s a Jupiter-6 set.

Poly Evolver?

Poly Evolver?
No sir, perhaps it’ll be tricky because it’s hard to see the size relative to anything, but they are bigger than that. But it is in the sequential family of synths

Yeah, the size is a challenge. Prophet '08?

If I can ask, what's the point of making wood ends for synths that have beautiful wood ends already? I don't get it... ???

I assume some folks have chipped or scratched ones, or just want to differentiate theirs or have a stain color preference. Some folks have not been happy with the appearance of their stock ends. I don't have two of the same type of synth, but if I did it might be nice to have a visual differentiator between the two so I didn't have to look at the serial num.
Those are just some ideas, I don't know folk's motive. I have been happy with the stock wood on my gear.

Sequential sell replacements for this purpose...

I can think of any number of potential differentiators between synths that come without the ecological and environment costs. I'm all for quality woodworking (and wood on synths!) but replacing perfectly good walnut (of all woods, walnut! A slow-growing and important crop-tree whose wood and fruit are both very valuable) strikes me as luxury for the sake of vanity. I hope there's a greater reason here than that that I'm just missing!

I don't know man, I'm not overthinking it personally. Every time I buy a new vehicle I visit the enthusiast forums just to learn some of the ins and outs. And without fail there are dozens of guys who run out and buy every aftermarket customization available and stick on an expensive German vehicle just for a feeling of being different from everyone else, some folks are into customization. Who knows what makes others happy?

Yeah, the size is a challenge. Prophet '08?
Nope! Getting warmer! I’ll give you a hint; it belongs to an original panel of something that was recently recreated in the form factor of what Dave smith initially set out accomplish.
:D

so the dual keyboard P10 then?

Haha nice man! You know your synths very well! What about the last one I posted?
Hint : it could fit on 3 different synths

Well I confess to cheating as much as humanly possible using image search :), so I'm not sure if it's attributable to my synth knowledge, but that last hint narrowed it down to only one possibility I could think of.
Hmm.. do you mean it could fit 3 synths but you're sure there's no way it could fit four? Because it looks very Sequential in terms of the hole pattern, but my guess would involve one of the following, which I read during my search are all side-panel compatible in their keyboard (not desktop) versions: Mopho, Mono Evolver, P'08, P12
-
Damn I think you stumped me trying to stump you. Hahaha.
But you’re right ! This is a prophet~8 panel that can also fit on the p12, mono evolved, so you nailed it.
But does it also fit a mopho?

I've no first hand knowledge, but according to a site that turned up in my search they are compatible.

Fair enough! It’s definitely good to know! Thanks!

Since another poster has already done it, you might as well go for the Pro 3 Standard Edition, if you haven't already. It looks so much better with wooden ends.

Wow! That person did a wonderful job! it made that synth look like a whole new synth. I’d love to do a pro3.
However , I have the SE version so the panels aren’t the same so maybe I’ll make a set if I can find someone kind enough to lend me their panels to recreate.
Thanks for sharing !

Hey Synthwolf, I would think the Take 5 would offer you an excellent opportunity to design a couple of thick wooden end cheeks. In my opinion, this synthesizer needs them more than any other Sequential instrument.

If anyone sends me a request and is willing to mail me their set, I’ll make a complimentary set for them :)

The black/blue patterned blocks are exquisite! Would be great on an Evolver, Summit or OB6 with their blue accents.

Yeah! and the tempest of course! i blended dyes together to get the same hue as the tempest blue, came out nice! I think it would look great on an evolver ( which i believe is basically the prophet 8 panels ) too.

Hi, for what it’s worth, if anyone is interested I’ve made a 8 part mini series on Instagram documenting our process on how we make synth panels for the ASM hydrasynth.

Can you do a set for the Hydrasynth Deluxe? It looks like they are slightly different compared to the original.
Thanks.
-
I'm guess those will fit the Hydrasynth Deluxe. Do you happen to know?
Thanks.
Hi Jason! As per the email, I will do my best to find out , thanks :)

Gorgeous work, Synthwolf. That Behringer 2600 looks so much better with a wood frame. I hope someday I'm able to use your services because I love high quality wood on synthesizers.

Take 5...
If anyone sends me a request and is willing to mail me their set, I’ll make a complimentary set for them :)
Your work looks amazing! I'm tempted... but I'm curious how you'd go about attaching wood sides to the Take 5 given how the OEM panels are hooked on at the top with three screws on the bottom of the synth. (Images here: https://www.sequential.com/take-5-left-and-right-panel-removal/)

Hi there! Yes the Take 5 with the way it attaches makes it a rather complicated panel to make out of wood. So unfortunately it will not be making its way into our catalogue.
However since we do get lots of request for it, we might in the near future try to take on the take 5 challenge :p

Hey! I own a small shop and we just added take 5 walnut panels. I think they make it look freaking fantastic. I don't want to step on anyones toes but wanted to let you know these exist. Cheers.

My goodness, those end cheeks look fine. The Take 5 was just crying out for them. Excellent work, Synthcraft.co! What's your price?
