I am using Tempest to send Midi over DIN to my Eurorack "Midi_Gate" module which accepts midi on channel 10, from C1-A1. I spent a good while trying to figure out why the Tempest wouldn't work with this (yet all my other gear did) come to find out the Tempest is outputting Midi that is supposed to be C1 but instead is outputting C-1 (two octaves low).... is this a bug of the beta os?
I am also noticing the sequencer is not sending those recorded notes out. only when I play them live

I know I am not the only one who see's this issue as I've seen others report it.

There are Multiple "standards" for middle C , 1, 2 & 3 octaves apart!
There is a single midi out sound and you need to tell the tempest which one it is, look at the 1.4 appendix here: http://www.davesmithinstruments.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/Tempest_Manual_Addendum_1.4.pdf?e398fb

yes I am aware of the midi sound out or what ever its called (sorry not in front of tempest right now) and I have set all that up and yet is still would not play back, yet it would play back during live input. meaning if I hit a pad it would output midi but those recorded notes would not.

Theres a difference between 'pad note out' and 'sequencer pad out'. Two separate, different functions, don't get them mixed up....

It's a matter of whether one starts counting the base note at C0 or C-2. We count from C0, hence the two octave notation difference.
