Title: How big should a full backup be?
Post by: cmscss on September 18, 2018, 02:05:26 PM
Hi There,

Tempest is my main writing tool so I backup often but I've just noticed that a full backup is only 182 bytes - does this seem too small? I noticed that a sound pack was 27.7kb.

I'm definitely choosing 'ALL' when exporting.

I'm looking for a solution that would allow me to fully restore Tempest should the worst occur - is that what the 'ALL' option is for? Or does that not export everything (samples etc) currently on the device?

Any help or pointers would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Well, to put it in perspective, my "Export All" files average around 2300KB; and I keep my Tempest pretty clean, only ever using maybe a third of the available storage space, so...

Cheers!

Thanks for the replies. This is more for my reference, I wasn't using 'Record Many' in SysEx Librarian.
