Title: Phophet Rev2 CV input
Post by: OrestesB on October 10, 2023, 10:33:55 AM
Hello to all synth lovers.
Recently i tried to connect my Analog 4 cv output to Rev's 2 Pedal/CV input and i found that it hasnt much impact and it delays.
For example i routed the CV in to filter cutoff and im triggering envelopes from A4. With Attack to 0 at the envelope  the movement of the filter is still late and narrow. i mean i cannot get the highest values.
Im using exactly the same to Minitaur and it works perfect.
There are voltage settings on A4's menu but i think better not go higher than 5v.
Am i doing something wrong? Im using a mono cable.
thank you

You're not doing anything wrong. The Rev2's CV input is designed for a pedal, and so its response is highly slewed (smoothed out over time). The idea is that a pedal is hard to move smoothly with a foot, and so the synth compensates for this. You won't have the immediate response that you'll get from actual CV inputs. The "CV inputs" on this series of synths have always worked this way.
