Title: Modwheel changing values itself - is this a hardware or software problem?
Post by: jantako on October 22, 2023, 11:28:03 AM
Hi all,

I was demoing Take 5 at the local shop yesterday and had a random but persistent issues with modwheel sending values itself. After some googling it seems that many owners have had similar problems but it's still not clear (for me) if this is a software or hardware problem? I would appreciate any info from those who have had similar experiences. I really love this synth but preferably without any hardware quirks :)

Thanks

I haven't seen this with my year-old T5 but this sort of thing is very common when pots get dirty and send spurious data just sitting there, untouched. More likely to happen in dusty or smoker environments.

Have you tried a wheel calibration in the global menu?

Or, open it up and re-seat the ribbon connection to the Modwheel.
It might just be that.

(Lol. Yea, do that in a music store! - Sorry, I just reread your post.)
