Title: Some Videogame Audio Created With The Tempest
Post by: muleskinner on August 31, 2016, 04:56:44 AM
Hi,

I've just finished a bunch of retro-style game audio using the Tempest with a few other outboard fx. The Tempest is great for this type of work!

For anyone who's interested I wrote a blog post about it with some audio/visual clips here (http://bit.ly/2bBkQnT) and there's a SoundCloud track with all the audio so far here (https://soundcloud.com/bitbulldotcom/jetboard-joust-in-game-fx).

cheers

Really impressed with some of those man,  not your standard fodder at all.   Some real creaminess in there ;)  Care to share?   Be happy to give up some of my patches in return!

Another blog post with some more Tempest audio here (https://blog.bitbull.com/2018/01/19/jetboard-joust-devlog-74-hit-sounds/).

Did I mention how great the Tempest is for this kind of thing?  ;)

Really nice stuff!  I work primarily in video game sound design and use the Tempest all the time.  The engine's flexibility is awesome for getting really varied and detailed sounds.

Quirky, nasty, retro-modern. It’s perfect for the game. I absolutely love it!
