My recommendation would be to consult the user manual or reach out to the manufacturer's support team. They should be able to provide guidance on any reset procedures or troubleshooting steps specific to your P5 REV 4 model.

Your other option of course is to purchase that sound pack for $30, if you can spare that of course. That way you have the patches right there, and you can see exactly what the settings are, as well as supporting the person who’s put these patches together. contexto
I'm also wondering about buying that sound pack for $30...

I appreciate the form factor but I do hope we will see this type of engine in a larger Polyphonic synth. I’d rather not have all their future products scaled down...especially a hybrid.

The X8 and OB6 are there though, I know there are some differences but there are essentially 3 ‘sizes’ of Oberheims out there right now.. as to what happens next, who knows!

Not the same engine.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong here, but I think OB-X8/Prophet 5/10 and OB-6/Prophet6 have discreet oscillators and full analog signal path, where as TEO-5/Take5 have OSCs on a chip and digital VCA which makes them more cost effective to manufacture (thus the lower price) and easier to implement some of the additional modulation options.  I would take one of these over a "B brand" knock off so it's a great competitor at the price point.  Probably not in my future because I already own the OB-X8 and OB-6, I feel this product is for someone who wants to get a bit of OB flavor in a compact form factor and not break the bank, and for the audience it's designed for it's a cool synth.

A track I did recently. Combing elements of Carpenter's score for the video game Sentinel Returns and Alan Howarth's score to the film Arcade, I wanted to try and see how I could utilize the "cinematic" "ambience" and special effects categories in the Prophet X for a score like this.

The only user samples are the Liquid Stack from the EMU library as well as the Prophet 2000 choir and strings, everything else is all factory sounds from the PX.

Hope you enjoy!

Trigon-6 / Re: Trigon-6 MPE

Excellent! A description or perhaps a video showing what is relevant when creating an MPE patch would be very useful too :)

Thankfully it seems that the next version of the Osmose OS will finally support the MIDI MPE arpeggiator

I noticed that the MPE settings are in the Global settings page 3. It would be more flexible if they can be stored independently for each patch instead of globally. I wonder if that is possible.

I'm not positive about this, but it appears that the Amp envelope is still triggered when in MPE mode. In the case of the Osmose, it's the finger vertical motion (channel pressure?) that "generates" the envelope shape. I find hard to replicate the same sensitivity in the Trigon, but probably I'm missing something.

Thanks!

Hi. The notion of some presets that showcase MPE is a good idea - noted!

It is expected that neither the arpeggiator nor the hold function will work while in MPE mode. In this mode, the controller takes precedence (due to the multi-MIDI-channel nature of MPE), so arpeggiation will need to come from the MPE device.

Yes the cable can make big difference. If having problem try to swap the cable. Also mak sure it doesn’t run parallel with power cables as that will cause sound issues from the cable.
