Oscillator tracking different amounts

I want to try out some patches where I have one oscillator key tracking as normal, and then the other scale it at 50% instead of 100. What's the best way to do this? Turn tracking off on Osc 2 and then use a modulator with KeyNumber mapped to Osc 2 Freq? 
Anyone here tried something like this and can give some advice?

Yes, that would be the way to do that. Can't give any further advice, never tried it.
