Round Robin Voice Allocation Mode

Round Robin Voice Allocation Mode

Normally the voice allocation mode is set to normal. That is every 1st note in a chord one hit the first voice is triggered, every second note the 2nd voice is triggered etc. That means the same voices are used all the time in a similar way. But different voices differs slightly.

There is a voice allocation mode (from firmware 2.0) that circulate the voices every time a key is hit: Round Robin Mode. That gives small nice variations every time a key is triggered and makes the P5/10 rev 4 soaring in a nice way.

Enable Round Robin Voice Allocation Mode:
1. Hold down BANK and press GLOBALS button once to activate Page 3 of the Globals menu

2. Press program selection button 2

3. Use the BANKS and TENS buttons (DECREMENT/INCREMENT) to set voice allocation mode to rr

4. When finished, press the GLOBALS button once to exit.

Thank you! I was only vaguely aware of this feature, as a concept, but never tried it out in earnest. I think I'll leave my Prophet-5 like this for a while. It's especially prominent with any amount of Vintage applied.
