Rev2 Desktop 8 voice - Logic Pro External midi help :)

Hey Guys!

Need your help on this setup :)

What works:

Midi controller----OUT---> 5 PIN Midi cable to ----IN--> REV2Desktop
Audio comes out to my interface. Normal playing

What does not work: Goal is to play Rev2 Desktop  using my Studio Logic controller

Midi controller ----> Mac via USB Midi  - Midi messages working fine - Chords played can be seen in Logic..Software instruments works.

Rev2 Desktop ---> Mac via USB Midi- Rev2 is present and may be selected as Midi Destination

Midi is tranmitting signal but no sound from Rev2. HOWEVER.. if I hit the  "Play" button in Rev2 [sequencer].. audio comes out..

I recorded a midi track in Logic... but Rev2 is not playing it.

Global Settings in REV2:

MIDI Channel :All
MIDI Clock Mode : Off
MIDI Clock Cable : USB
MIDI Param Send : NRPN   [tried CC /off]
MIDI Param Rcv : NRPN [tried CC /off]
MIDI Control : On
MIDI Prog Enable: On
MIDI Prog Send : On
MIDI Sysex Cable: USB
MIDI Out Select: USB
MIDI Artp+Seq: On [tried off]
Arp Beat Sync: Quantize [tried off]
Multimode : On [tried off]
Local Control : On

Obviously a routing issue here.

May I know what's the recommended Global midi settings in Rev2 Desktop?
Also any midi settings that I need to tweak in Logic pro x?

I do have a Pro3 which works fine. Also my Moog Sirin desktop works.

Any information would be much much appreciated.

Thank you!!

More info:
The sustain pedal in my controller works fine with Logic's soft insrtruments..
When I press on the sustain pedal ---- "HOLD" in Rev 2 lights up -- normal behavior.
HOWEVER.. this is when I noticed that when Sustain Pedal is pressed [With HOLD lighting up] --- Rev2 sound is playing.
It somehow acts as Volume pedal and sustain at the same time - so odd.

Any idea on how to tell Rev 2 to just treat this as a regular sustain pedal.

Using the standard MIDI cable - sustain pedal works fine.  Only when using USB where this strangeness happen.
