Why no random mod source?

Why no random mod source?

I don’t understand why “random” isn’t included in the Rev 2 modulation sources. The prophet 12, pro 3, take 5 all have it, it’s quite useful and a great way to add per voice / note variation, you can also use it to dial in your own “vintage knob” type of behavior for any parameter since it is a per voice offset each time a key is triggered. It seems so simple to have included it, I don’t understand why it would be omitted.

This has been requested a few times before for Rev2.   They've said there's no more space in firmware to add new features.

But I totally agree.   Random should be included in every mod matrix.   (as you noted, its in some of Seq's newer synths, so I'm hopeful it will be in future ones going forward.)

Voice Spread Mod Source, like on Take 5, is an even better option for custom vintage voice modeling.

It is. Random LFO right there on the panel. Four of them.
