When this thread was started, I didn't own the Hydrasynth yet, but it's a desktop synth I recommend to anyone at the price point. Many different filter types, the filters are so good they will fool you into thinking they're analog, yet even let you control the curve shape, poly after touch on the pads, sounds amazing. Tons of modulation, endless wavetables, dual filters with serial/parallel mode. Class compliant USB, mature OS. Fast workflow, zero to great sounds in no time flat , encourages creation. And then there's the keyboard version with the ribbon which would be fun but I needed a desktop for space reasons.
