Split to MIDI

Split to MIDI
« on: September 10, 2018, 06:34:29 PM »
Hello Girlz,

How do I make layer A only to control midi out (and not layer b)?

I'd like to control the A layer through midi with miniatur moog and the right one - b layer with the sounds of the rev, what's the best way to do so?

Thanks!

First make sure these are set in Global Mode:

Parameter 3:  Set the MIDI channel of the Rev 2 to channel 1.  Of course the Minitaur must also be on channel 1.

Parameter 7:  Set Rev2 to receive CCs instead of NRPNs

Parameter 9: Set Multi Mode on.

At this point you should be able to control your Rev2 from the Minitaur.  This is of course layer A.  If you turn the filter knob on the Rev2, it is affecting layer A.

When you press the Split button, layer B will be on channel 2.  Now press the Edit layer B button to make this the active layer.  Turning the filter knob no longer affects layer A, but only layer B at this point.

This is how you control layer A using your Minitaur knobs, while the Rev2 knobs control layer B, which is on the right side of the keyboard split.
