Loading prophet 8 presets

Loading prophet 8 presets
« on: August 25, 2018, 10:46:44 AM »
I just recieved the rev2 but want to also load the prophet 8 presets without disturbing the rev 2 presets.  Any help in doing this would be much appreciated. Would I use the sound editor or midi utility?? Thanks

The P08 presets go in the user banks, they do not replace the factory presets.

Ok but how to do this.  I see the sound editor has a utility that will do this but wondering if this is the recommended way or if I should do it a different way with the mid utility. dont want to break anything.

Use SysEx.

The soundeditor looks like it has different sounds (last bunch) for the prophet 8 utility converter than what is listed on the Dave Smith site and dont know if this is the best way.

Both the DSI site and REV2 manual recommend something called MIDIOX.
