Feature request: Make alternate tuning per patch

Love this synth, but the alternate tuning setting (something really special that was a major factor for me in choosing the Rev2) should be per patch, not global! It's crazy that you can't save a patch with an alternate tuning, layer patches with different tunings, etc.

Gotta agree, that’d be much more useful.

It won't be possible to retroactively implement this in the Rev2 given how the programs are structured, but I agree it would be cool, and it's possibly something that might manifest in future instruments.

One workaround in the Rev2 is to use MIDI NRPNs to change the selected tuning table. In practice, the user could do something like send both a program change and the command to change to the relevant tuning from a DAW/hardware sequencer/etc. so that they match up. See the MIDI implementation in the manual for the corresponding NRPN number for the Alternate Tunings Global.

There's a corresponding NRPN for every programmable parameter on each individual layer and every Global!

That's disappointing, but I appreciate the information. I don't like being dependent on the computer and I don't use a DAW, but there are probably hardware solutions that would allow me to change the tuning via NRPN. Looks like this might do the job? http://www.midisolutions.com/prodevp.htm

Is there a shortcut to the Alternate Tuning page of the Global Settings, by any chance?

I am in the market for a new hardware synth and the microtonal features of the rev 2 are tipping me towards this synth. I am just wondering whether the DSI synths have implemented the real time features of the Midi Tuning Standard. This feature would enable real time switching of scales (including having currently sounding notes retune) using tools such as this hardware box: https://hpi.zentral.zone/tbx2 or else software like this: http://www.tallkite.com/alt-tuner.html to send tuning changes.
This feature is very important to the development of my music, and for that reason If this feature has not been implemented or is not a planned future feature, I am inclined to choose the much cheaper Audiothingies Micromonsta which has the same MTS bulk dump features as the DSI range.
