Dumb Question on envelopes

Dumb Question on envelopes

I've only had it a week and am having fun but haven't had the chance to use it for synthesis yet nor had time to read the manual (11 month old baby girl keeping us busy at home) - so forgive me for asking...

The 5 envelopes for synthesis on the Tempest are per oscillator or per voice/sound?  I was trying to create a complicated pad sound last night and noticed that for example, adjusting the attack on the Amp or Pitch affected all OSCs rather than just 1 of the sound sources..

Thanks

i suppose it is 5 envelopes per each "Sound" you want to make meaning that the envelopes affect all your noise sources.  Having said that, 1 way to get around that is to use the free Aux envelopes to shape the envelopes of each Oscillator?

For example, I would want to retain the attack portion of a OSC1 and blend that with only the Decay/Release of an OSC3 sample.  Considering the Amp envelope affects all OSCs, one way to bypass this is to assign Aux 1 envelope to the Amp attack settings of OSC3?

Hope I'm being clear... ?

Yes they're per sound. You can route them to multiple destinations. You'd have to look in the manual to see all of the destinations but you could use it to affect pitch, amplitude, etc, etc.... what ever you can imagine, almost.
